Instructors and Friends
Glenny began her pole journey in 2011 at the age of 38. She and her 49 years young friend decided to try pole for some extra fitness and immediately fell in love with the sport.
In 2013, at the age of 40, she started competing at the provincial and national level. Since then she has earned herself the following awards;
– 2013 CPFA Provincials Masters Division 2nd Place
– 2014 CPFA Masters Division 1st Place
– 2015 CPFA Masters Division 1st Place
– 2016 CPFA Masters Division 1st Place
– 2018 PSO Western Canada Championships 2nd Place
She was also a competitor and finalist in Pole Theatre Canada 2018 and has performed on many stages for the pure joy of the sport.
In addition to competitions and performing, Glenny has been a Pole Fitness instructor since 2013 and a recreational gymnastics instructor since 2014. She has taught individuals of all body types and fitness abilities in ages ranging from 3 to 87. She has always said that her greatest joy is watching her students grow and evolve.
Her love of the circus and aerial arts have lead her to opening her own studio Circus Freaks
where she looks forward to sharing her love of the aerial arts with her community.
Glenny is also a Colour Therapist by trade and an animal lover at heart. When she is not teaching or training you will find her horseback riding with her dog through the beautiful forests and countryside found only on Vancouver Island.
We are honoured to have these individuals as a part of the Circus Freaks team. They each bring with them their own styles, strengths and skills to add to our diverse and welcoming atmosphere.
Leanne Clark is very excited to be a part of the Circus Freaks team. She has been poling for 7 years and has a deep passion for the sport. Leanne recently became a certified Cleo Hurricane instructor and she looks forward to sharing her Cleo style Low Flow Pole classes with us. Leanne dances with her whole heart and is so grateful to be sharing her love of pole with you all.
Janeva has always loved fitness. She has obtained her cheer stunt certification and was captain of the cheer squad in high school. She loves a good challenge, so it is not surprising that she instantly fell in love with pole from her first class. She has spent the last 2 years training hard at Luxe Studio in Nanaimo, has recently passed her Fitness Theory and Exercise Physiology and her Pole Fitness Instructor Certification.
We have a few other local businesses on the island who offer their services to our customers. If you would like to add them to any of your bookings please let us know!
